Long-Term Substitute Music Teacher—Part Time
(Immediate Opening)

The Long Term Substitute Music Teacher is responsible for offering regular music instruction to children in Pre-K through 8th grade, two days per week. In each instruction session and cumulatively, the Music Teacher will educate GFS students in practical skills with musical instruments and voice, as well as general musical theory. Overall instruction should seek to encourage students’ enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music.

Compensation: $135 per day

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree in Education preferred)

• Elementary classroom teaching experience, preferably in Music/Arts

• All required clearances, Mandated Reporter Training & CPR/First Aid Training

Director of Academics & Lead Teacher (2025-26 School Year)

Greenwood Friends School is seeking candidates for the Director of Academics & Lead Teacher position for the 2025-26 school year (beginning 7/1/25). This is a full-time, Salaried, 12-month position that reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Salary: $60,000 annually, plus benefits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree in Education preferred)

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, email, etc.

Greenwood Friends School is seeking candidates for the Director of Administration & Business position for the 2025-26 school year (beginning 7/1/25). This is a full-time, Salaried, 12-month position that reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

• 3 - 5 years experience in accounting, bookkeeping or program administration

Substitute Teachers (Current Opening)
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, the substitute teacher is responsible for the continuation of all learning activities in the classroom. A spirit of cooperation, sharing, kindness and respect is expected at all levels. This individual must effectively implement instructional plans left by the teacher, communicate clearly with students and establish a positive climate, and maintain classroom discipline. Bachelor’s degree preferred and previous experience in a classroom setting required. This is an “on-call” position that yields a per-diem wage of $100.
